Sunday afternoon

After missing church, we decided to spend the afternoon in downtown San Antonio.  That included the Riverwalk, Tower of the Americas and of course, the Alamo.  They were all cool and we learned a little history in the process.  Did you know that Davey Crockett was killed at the Alamo.  About half way through the presentation, it dawned on me that the amusement park Six Flags was named because there have been six flags that have flown over Texas.  They are Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, Texas as part of Confederacy and The United States. Six Flags Flown over Texas.  The story of the Alamo is really cool and teaches us that it is worth standing up for what you believe in.
